Authorities say they will launch an investigation after two teenagers died due to fire at a traditional initiation school in the Qum Village.
Reports say the number of people who died in the province so far confirms four deceased.
According to the Eastern Cape Health Department’s Sizwe Kupelo says 25 people, including traditional nurses, were also taken to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a number of people were treated for smoke inhalation; others were treated for burn wounds.
“Some people were treated for smoke inhalation and others were treated for burn wounds.”
At this stage, the cause of the fire has not been identified, authorities say the investigation will be launched.
