Former Hawks head lieutenant General Burning Ntlemeza’s court application to prevent Police Minister Fikile Mbalula from interfering in his duties has been suspended by the Pretoria High Court.
The case was scheduled to be heard in the High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday morning, three weeks after the minister appointed an acting head of the unit.
It is alleged that the Case was scheduled to be heard in the High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday morning, three week after Ntemeza was removed as Head of the hawks.
Over the past two weeks the newly appointed Police Minister Fikile Mbalula was caught up in war with ex Head General burning Ntemeza after was removed from being the boss of Hawks unit.
Mbalula was acting on an earlier order which found the lieutenant-general is no longer fit to hold the top post.
Mbalula fired burning Ntemeza after the Western Cape high Court ruled that he is not fit to hold office.
Subsequently to the verdict Ntlemeza appealed that decision which he says suspends the effect of the order.
Ntlemeza is expected to re arrange the paper work and the matter is expected to be heard next Tuesday.
