The Department of Agriculture spent R46 million erecting 971 kilometres of fencing on game farms and farms across the Limpopo Province in the last five years.
The Department revealed that it paid an average of R47 000 per km for un-electrified fences and utilised labour via the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) for between R75 and R92 per day which is a subsidised cost.
