President Jacob Zuma administration has has built over 920 schools through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) and various provincial infrastructure projects since taking over in 2009.
Education Minister Angie Motshekga confirmed the this facts and findings when she briefed the media ahead of the department’s Budget Vote debate in Parliament on Wednesday.
Angie Motshekga was appointed as the minister of Basic Education under the President Zuma regime while she was still in-charge of the African National Congress Womens’ League.
She has been at the fore-front of all this developments
The biggest beneficiary of these new schools has been the Eastern Cape, with a total of 334 schools delivered.
