Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) which is currently underway in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the former Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, has been honoured for her role in the upliftment and empowerment of women across the African Continent.
The African National Congress (ANC) has congratulated Dlamini-Zuma as its National Executive Committee member.
“We extend our compliments to Comrade Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for her progressive role in the continent, which elevates South Africa, and the continent at large, to higher standards in terms of uplifting and empowering women.” said ANC in a statement.
Dlamini Zuma retired from the AU last year in preparation for her candidacy of the ANC Presidential position. Her candidacy to succeed Jacob Zuma as the President of the ruling party and the country was endorsed by Women’s league of the ANC.
Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will come head-to-head with the Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa who was given an endorsement by Trade Union Frederation Cosatu.
