Four Men were arrested in connection with the death of Jozi FM DJ Mandla Hlatshwayo and his friend.
On Monday night police arrested four suspects after a tip-off from members of the public.
Hlatshayo and his friend Oupa Duma were gun down at a pub in Pimville on Sunday night after confronting four men who robbed of women their cellphones.
His family uploaded police officers for tracking down the suspects and detained them. Hlatshwayo’s brother Sipho says the family is thankful for the police’s swift action.
He added that despite the fact that they are still dealing with the loss of Mandla, this bring a closure.
Meanwhile acting National Police Commissioner Kgomotso Phahlane says this is a major breakthrough.
“We are grateful for the early breakthrough. We have got trust in our criminal justice system and we believe justice will be served.”
At this stage it is not clear when the four suspects will appear in court.
