Chief Operating Officer of Atterbury Holdings and Managing Director of Atterbury Developments James Ehlers attained a prestigious Award at the recently held South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) Awards for the work on Mall of Africa.
According to reports James Ehlers walked away with the winning retail development award, for the work done on the Mall of Africa project, and coupled that win with the industrial development award which it has now won for three consecutive years for work done on the Amrod head office development.
James Ehlers says he is honored to receive the award from SAPOA saying this is an evidence of the good quality work and the distinctly successful developments they’ve accomplished
“Winning these awards from SAPOA is indeed a great honor, and is a testament to the exceptional quality of the team we have built here at Atterbury and the distinctly successful developments we deliver,” says Ehlers upon receiving the awards.
The jobs created, the stores opened and the easy access to the facility all point to a project that has been a roaring success.
The Mall of Africa project was probably the most spoken about and most anticipated project in South Africa during the past five years.
However, the SAPOA awards cap what has been an inspiring journey for the team at Atterbury.
Cobus van Heerden of Atterbury Property Developments says: ‘With the development of Mall of Africa, we have created an unrivaled shopping experience, one that we believe is truly world-class and we are thrilled that SAPOA has recognized its excellence. A development of this sheer size requires extraordinary levels of expertise, experience, and skill.”
