The drawn-out saga between Kaizer Chiefs and former Bafafa Bafana defender Siyanda Xulu has allegedly come to an end after the two parties reached an agreement to part-ways, thus ending a fruitless spell at the club.

Siyanda Xulu joined the club two seasons ago while aged 23 in 2015.
He joined the Soweto giants following his return from Russia were he turned out for FC Rostov and in the process snubbed advances from his former club Mamelodi Sundowns who were openly interested in retaining the services of the lanky defender.
However, he endured a dreadful spell at Kaizer Chiefs wherein he featured a mere 10 games for the club during his two seasons at the club.
Paul Mitchell of Siyavuma Sports Agency who is Xulu’s agent refrained from saying much about the issue regarding his client. “I’m afraid you have to wait for a press release from Chiefs. That’s the best I can do for you”, Mitchell was quoted as saying.
The kwamashu-born defender who still had 3 years remaining in his contract at Amakhosi has now been linked with a possible move to Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City. The City Chairman John Comitis has stated that the club is still deciding on whether they should pursue the player’s services or not.
“I think he’s great player and I’ve always admired him. But I’ve got a team that works well together and to add another big name could possibly throw things out, you know. That the last thing I want to do to the players. I’ll have to have a word with the coach as I’m still debating”, stated Comitis.
It remains a mystery as to where the defender will resurface but he is no short of admirers with reports of interest from clubs in the middle-east as well.
