Minister of Public Service and Administration Faith Muthambi summoned to appear before parliament

Minister of Public Service and Administration Faith Muthambi has been summoned to appear before parliament’s portfolio committee on Public Service and Administration next week to answer on allegations of nepotism and other financial irregularities in her department.

This follows after Minister Muthambi failed to show up for her departmental meeting with the portfolio committee on Public Service and Administration on Tuesday.

Muthambi is accused of hiring friends and relatives to her office in the department of Public Service and Administration.

Several members of the ANC Study Group on Public Service and Administration (PSA) in parliament refused to show up for the portfolio committee meetings on Tuesday asking for the committee chairperson, ANC MP Dr Makhosi Khoza to be disciplined.

They said they objected to being led on the committee by Khoza as chairperson.

They say she violated the ANC’s constitution by supporting the motion of no confidence in Zuma.
