Spokesperson of the Pretoria police Captain Colette Weibach says that the South African Police Services take all sexual offences seriously regardless of gender.
This comes after three women alleged to have countless raped a 23-year-old man from Nellmapius and kept him locked from last Friday to only release him on Sunday afternoon.
The 23-year-old victim told Police that he took a minibus taxi in Solomon Mahlangu Drive bound to Pretoria, inside the taxi were three young female passengers and the driver.
Instead the man says he noticed that something was wrong when the taxi’s route to town changed, then he was ordered to seat in front and one of the women injected him with an unknown substance, he then passed out.
He woke up in an unfamiliar room on a single bed, where he was forced to drink an energy drink before taking turns raping him numerous times during the day and used protection the entire time.
The victim was dropped off in an open field in Benoni on Sunday afternoon.
The Tshwane Central Cluster Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit have been investigating the rape case since the victim reported it last week.
Colette encouraged all victims of rape to report such crimes to their nearest police stations and assures all victims of these types of crimes that we will carry out robust investigations to bring offenders to justice.
Captain confirmed that the man is still traumatized by this difficult experience and had received medical treatment.
The police are still searching for the three suspects and call for anyone with information about the matter to assist the SAPS by phoning 08600 10111.
