Schools resumes in Vuwani after weeks of protest


Schools which were affected by a strike which resulted in a shutdown for almost a month now have commenced with classes today morning in Vuwani, Limpopo.

The residents of Vuwani were protesting over demarcation reasons and this came after they refused to be incorporated to another municipality.

Over the weekend, President Jacob Zuma was expected to address the community of Vuwani but failed to show up and this made residents to be gruesome.

Police Officers managed to arrest some of the violence perpetrators.

Pupils and teachers were seen back to school today after a long break and the Limpopo Basic Education department is pleased with the learning commencement and promised to recap from the time loss due to the strike.

President Zuma has offered to return to Vuwani in a bid to restore peace, confidence and stability.
