Mamelodi Sundowns secured an eighth Absa Premiership title to remain the best team of all the time in the Premier Soccer League.

Celebrations:

The resilient Brazillians came from behind to beat Ajax Cape Town 3:1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to Khama Billiat, Ricardo Nascimento and Sibusiso Vilakazi who found the back of the net for the Tshwane outfit after Mosa Lebusa had opened the scoring for the visitors in the early minutes of the game.

The win extended Mamelodi Sundowns lead on top of the Absa Premiership table to seven points with only one goal to go.

Sundowns claimed their eight Absa Premiership honours and third under head-coach Pitso Mosimane who joined the club five years ago.

The will be formally presented with the 2017/18 Absa Premiership crown/trophy on the 12 May at Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Bloemfontein Celtic is expected to form a guard of honour for the Champions next month.
