Garbine Muguruza wins Wimbledon 2017

Wimbledon 2017: Garbine Muguruza thrashed Venus Williams 7-5 6-0 to win her first ever Wimbledon title with a straight-set.

The 23-year-old Spaniard outclassed five-time champion Venus Williams with a straight-set win of 7-5 6-0.

14th seeded Muguruza denied the 37-year-old a first major title for nine years, which would have made her the oldest female Grand Slam champion in the Open era.

Garbine Muguruza earned herself the honours of becoming the first woman to beat both Williams sisters in Grand Slam finals.
