Did you Know? Over 363 rhino were poached in SA this year

Over 360 Rhinos have been poached in South Africa since January 2016, just in four month- that’s an average of 3 per day.


Reporting on the progress made through the integrated strategic management approach Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa announced the decrease in Rhino poaching nationally

She said despite the decrease in Rhino poaching  the number of attacks on rhino in the Kruger National Park has increased.

Minister Edna Molewa announced the passing of the member of San Parks ranger Enos Mabila who was killed at the Kruger National Park and a second ranger wounded in the line of duty.

According to reports many men and women die while trying to protect  South African rhino especially in San Parks.

“In the first four months of 2016 363 rhino were poached countrywide and during the same period last year that number was 404.” said Minister
