The South African Revenue Service (SARS) commissioner Tom Moyane has been suspended from his role at the revenue collector with immediate effect.
Moyane was suspended by President Cyril Ramaphosa to restore the public confidence in the revenue collection agency pending his disciplinary hearing.
President Ramaphosa said it was in the public interest to restore the credibility of SARS without delay.

These people never learn, Tom Moyane should have resigned as requested by the President so he can negotiate the exit terms. Not he is fired and will possibly face an investigation. Wisdom says jump so you can pick a landing spot, greed told him to wait to be pushed.

So Tom Moyane won’t be having Cyril for breakfast #sars

The President of the Republic asked Tom Moyane to resign and he said no! The gall!!!
On another note, I had just read Sandile Memela’s Daily Maverick article…he may want to edit it or maybe just ask DM to make it disappear (just a suggestion) https://t.co/eXV4t85OkE

Just as I was about to Tweet that soon enough Tom Moyane will be ‘asked to provide reasons why he should not be suspended’ then BOOM – he’s suspended already 😂😂😂

Let’s allow process to be ventilated in courts, if SARS and Tom Moyane use state resources to bully #IvanPillay court will order him to pay from his own pocket
